The university degree I want is labelled "TG-XR" - how can CAS help me?

Some degrees have so many prerequisite and course sequencing requirements that you need to start working on them right away, rather than doing your general education component (AGEC) during your first couple of years. Other degrees are specific to only one Arizona public university - so if you want to do that major, you won't be able to select from more than one university.

Degrees like these fall into the category "TG-XR", which stands for "Transfer Guide - Exceptional Requirements". If you're interested in a degree that's a TG-XR, you should follow the University Transfer Guide for that degree!

Be sure to check out how the degree is listed in the degrees and pathways pages. Some degrees that are TG-XRs do have room for you to complete your AGEC! If they do, they will show which AGEC is needed for that degree - AGEC-A, AGEC-B or AGEC-S.

You can be sure that if you complete your AGEC, but then change your mind about your university or major - you'll still be admissable to the university and your lower-division general education will be complete.

You can also go to CAS, enter courses you've already taken, and create some personalized transfer planning guides for different university majors. You'll be able to see how those courses would apply to the university degree - and you can create lots of different guides and then compare and contrast the results to see which majors best fit the courses you've already taken!

Please work closely with your advisor to determine the best way to achieve your transfer goals!
