7. Summary of issues to be shared with APASC:
Should the FCS ATF separate into three distinct ATFs or should it continue to convene as one body for the purposes of common information and then split into three groups according to the newly declared emphases?
8. Other issues:
a.
Need
representation from other educational institutions, such as Grand Canyon and
University of Phoenix, because students are transferring from and to these
institutions.
b.
Certification
of teachers needs to be reviewed. State
Board may not have the needed information to provide this service.
c.
Distances
traveled in the state impose hardship on ATF members. Use of interactive television would be more cost effective for
many individuals.
d.
Being combined
Chair and Host for a meeting would greatly reduce the amount of email and
coordination that is needed to conduct an ATF meeting.
e.
RSVP notices to
the Articulation Facilitator need to be forwarded to the ATF chair.
Programmatic changes under development, if any:
None identified
Impact
of changes may have on AGEC and identified pathway
See #3 above
Impact
on courses and corresponding
equivalencies
Community college ATAC members should take note of the above new common
courses and submit their courses for evaluation, if not done already. Those FCS ATF members in attendance who
found inconsistencies or errors in the CAS/CEG were encouraged to work with
their home ATAC members to update the state websites.
